David Morgenstern Principal Consultant / Product Manager
Sweden
|
"I started at Cubiks as a Consultant Analyst in 2007 and since then have moved on to become a Principal Consultant and the Product Manager for the Swedish Cubiks team. As a Product Manager, I am responsible for growing our products business and ensuring that the instruments we offer are aligned with the needs of our clients. I enjoy my role as it allows me to build client relationships and identify opportunities to develop tailored or fully customised solutions. I welcome the complexities which need to be managed when developing product solution, such as working with other departments and colleagues from different countries. It feels like I’m working in a virtual environment. In 2009, the opportunity came up for me to support the Cubiks team in Malaysia for 3 months. While I was there I mainly delivered management assessments for high level operational and strategic positions and also took the opportunity to engage with Swedish companies which have branch offices in Malaysia. I was also able to deliver psychometric product training for a Cubiks client in Melbourne, Australia.
"What do I appreciate most about Cubiks? I appreciate the freedom and responsibility that I am given. If you demonstrate that you are committed and good at what you are doing, Cubiks provides you with plenty of opportunities to enhance your skills and progress. The size of the business makes it easy to communicate internationally and across different functions. This is one of the key reasons why Cubiks is such a fast moving company."

Tony Stiles IT Lead Developer United Kingdom
|
"I have been working with Cubiks as an IT Lead Developer for over 6 years. In my role, I am responsible for managing the team that oversees the development of Cubiks Online, the company’s integrated online assessment platform. We help consultants to establish and refine the client’s system requirements and in the process of doing this, we work with consultants from all over the globe. Although I spend most of my time in the Cubiks corporate headquarters in the UK, I do also get opportunities to travel to our different offices to deliver internal product training for our consultants. During these events, I typically focus on helping consultants to understand the IT delivery capabilities of our systems.
I know I can speak for all the team members when I say that we feel personally responsible for the products that we are building and are very proud of what we have achieved so far. It feels good to see that Cubiks Online is well positioned in the market and a key component in the success of the business. The system as a whole is testimony to what can be delivered by a capable, motivated and driven team. Although relatively small in number, we work on a wide variety of projects with a number of different technologies. This means that everyone has to understand all aspects of our product portfolio and have the flexibility to drop whatever they are currently working on to do something else. This is a fast changing and dynamic work environment. It’s never dull and it’s certainly never quiet! "

Marika Väyrynen Country Administrator Sweden
|
"I have been working at Cubiks for 11 years as a Country Administrator where I support our team of Swedish consultants. Many of my responsibilities involve coordinating different aspects of our product business. Every day, I have to deal with different client related issues, help with translations, organise training courses and work with clients who use our Cubiks Online system.
"Having been with the company for over a decade, I have had the opportunity to witness at first hand the constant growth of our business. When I first started at Cubiks, our main product was the PAPI personality questionnaire. Since then, Cubiks has enhanced its product portfolio significantly. Even though I have been with the company for as long as I have, the steady expansion of products and services business presents new challenges for me on a daily basis. It is important that I am able to structure and manage my time efficiently as I need to be able to multi-task and handle a number of different responsibilities at once. I am very pleased that I have the freedom to work in relatively unsupervised way and can prioritise my workload as I see fit. We have a great atmosphere in our team and I also enjoy being in regular contact with my colleagues from other Cubiks countries. Over the years, I have attended four Cubiks conferences in different European countries and this has enabled me to build up quite a wide international network of colleagues. The conferences are very helpful as they provide me with an opportunity to get to know colleagues from different countries on a less formal basis."

Louisa Tate Managing Consultant IPT (Innovation, Products and Technology) United Kingdom
|
"I started my career at Cubiks as a Principal Consultant in September 2005, working in the company’s specialist ‘Innovation, Products and Technology’ team based in the UK. Initially, I was principally involved in the development of bespoke products for clients. As a Managing Consultant, I am now responsible for the Generic Product Development team within the IPT function. This team focuses on the design and delivery of the long-term product strategy for our business, including the launch of new assessment and development tools and also the development of enhanced versions of existing Cubiks products. As a line manager of this team of highly-motivated consultants, I have the chance to support their professional development and enjoy seeing them grow in their roles.
"One of the key things that I enjoy about my job is that it requires me to adopt an international perspective as I constantly have exposure to clients and consulting teams from different regions and cultures. I have a very varied workload and relish the opportunity of designing cutting-edge products and applying the latest psychological research and statistical techniques. These opportunities make Cubiks a very attractive place to work for Occupational Psychologists who are interested in following a research-based product development career."

Amoria Draoua Consultant Analyst France
|
"I started my career at Cubiks over 10 years ago as a student assistant. I worked during the summer holidays to prepare training materials and assessment documents for the consultants. In 2004, I then became an Apprentice at Cubiks and worked providing administrative support for product licence renewals. Two years later, I became a full-time Administrator for the French product team where I was personally responsible for handling product licenses renewals and dealing with clients on a range of commercial matters. Initially I was responsible for the renewal of 5 client product licenses, but this gradually grew to over 100. In 2010 I was promoted to become a Consultant Analyst so I am now following a Consultant career path. This suits me very well as I enjoy building relationships with clients and following new leads and business opportunities.
"What do I like most about Cubiks? I very much appreciate being given the opportunity to manage my own portfolio of product licences. I am grateful to be working for a company where the managers listen to the individuals, believe in their potential and provide them with the opportunity to grow."

Sandra Milome Consultant
France
|
"I started my career at Cubiks as a Consultant Analyst in 2006, working as part of the French products team. At first, I was mainly responsible for providing product support, coordinating new product launches, delivering product training for our clients and supporting the Services team by managing the product aspects of Assessment Centres. In 2010, I then became a Consultant and moved over to join the French training team. Focussing on the development and implementation of a diverse range of training programmes, I deliver both generic product training and training that covers broader assessment areas such as career management and competency-based interview techniques. In my role, I also have the opportunity to apply my product knowledge and commercial skills when designing new training content and when preparing training solution proposals for clients.
"Cubiks is a very innovative company and I very much appreciate the fact that I get so many opportunities to keep my skills up to date, either through the introduction of new products or through working with clients on challenging assignments. Cubiks certainly offers its employees a great amount of flexibility. We are cosmopolitan team of flexible and open-minded people who enjoy creating solutions."

Vincent van der Belt Country Manager
Malaysia and Asia Pacific
|
"I joined Cubiks in 2000 as a Principal Consultant in the Netherlands where I was responsible for account management, business development, and the delivery of product training. Five years later I transferred to Cubiks’ Corporate headquarters in the UK to become a Global Product Manager. In this role I managed the launch and roll-out of Cubiks Online, an integrated assessment platform. This required me to work closely with the Innovation, Products and Technology team, my colleagues in Marketing and staff in our different international offices who were working on the implementation of the new platform. In April 2008, I then relocated to Kuala Lumpur to manage Cubiks’ operations in the Asia Pacific region."
"I travel frequently within the region, and to Hong Kong and Singapore in particular. Together with my team and our network of delivery partners, I am responsible for managing Cubiks' accounts in the Asia Pacific region, implementing our solutions and developing new business. I enjoy having the freedom to shape and refine my current role depending on the needs of the business here. Having spent time in both our corporate headquarters and in our country operations, I can genuinely say that I appreciate the challenges and responsibilities that the different teams manage, and the commitment to excellence that all staff share wherever they are based. Kathryn Wilton Managing Consultant
Dubai
|
"I first joined Cubiks in 2007 and after spending an initial period in the UK, I then transferred to Dubai in 2010 as a Principal Consultant responsible for the Middle East and Africa region. I enjoy the change and variety that comes with my role as I am interested in business development and strategic account management as well as the delivery of our products and services. My work requires me to manage a wide range of challenging assignments which provide me with a high degree of exposure to different cultures. This is something I find very rewarding.

By developing customised products, I feel confident that we are putting forward solutions that are built to meet the very specific needs of our clients."
