Skoda
Applying Assessment Centres to secure best practice in selection
The Situation
In today’s highly competitive business environment, sales and service staff have a critical role to play in promoting the Škoda brand to customers, and ensuring the commercial success of individual dealerships.
The Challenge
Skoda wanted to introduce Assessment Centres that would rigorously test candidates and enable dealerships to get the right people, reduce risk and minimise costs arising from poor recruitment decisions.
The Solution
Cubiks worked with Skoda to develop a tailored recruitment approach to help dealerships select candidates with the best fit for a role. The structured process features a variety of tools to help managers assess the candidate’s education, work experience, personality, customer-orientation, problem-solving ability and typical behaviour in a working environment.
The Results
The process, which has already been successfully rolled out in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, provides Škoda dealerships with a wealth of information on candidates to use when making recruitment decisions. As well as providing substantial financial benefits and reducing risk, dealership managers can move forward feeling confident that they have appointed the right person.
